It’s hard to believe that Pokémon Go has only been out for a month. Despite constant complaints about bugs and the fact that it’s still rolling out in some parts of the world, the game continues on its upward trajectory in terms of revenue. According to app analytics platform Sensor Tower, the game has amassed over $200 million USD in net revenue from players. This stunning amount puts it two times ahead of other viral games such asClash Royale and four times ahead of Candy Crush Saga in terms of revenue generation. Sensor Tower’s data also shows a spike in spending when the game launched in Japan, a trend that makes sense as Pokémon has its most loyal fan following in its home country. As the game continues to open in new markets, this upward trajectory shouldn’t be going down anytime soon.
