Surge In Bund, Treasury Yields Sparks Slump In Negative-Yielding Debt Worldwide As many Americans take a day off from bidding up penny stocks, the global bond market is taking a rather serious bath. German bund yields are up 5bps this morning to -37bps, the highest yield since June 2020... Source: Bloomberg The surge in yields has sent the global volume of negative-yielding debt back down from almost $19 trillion to below $16 trillion... Interestingly, as global bond yields have surged, the aggregate net speculative positioning across US Treasury futures has shrunk (and i snow at its least short since April 2018)...
