IOC Member Says 2020 Tokyo Olympics "Will Be Postponed" Likely To 2021 Veteran International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Dick Pound told USA Today on Monday that the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games are going to be postponed to 2021, with more details coming next month. "On the basis of the information the IOC has, postponement has been decided," Pound said in a phone interview. "The parameters going forward have not been determined, but the Games are not going to start on July 24, that much I know." This follows Canada and Australia, who have said this week, they are not sending athletes to the Games due to the virus crisis. Tyler Durden Mon, 03/23/2020 - 13:40
