Heinz Fires Slackers

Famous ketchup makers the food company H.J. Heinz Co. owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc(NYSE: BRK-A) and 3G Capital announced its cutting 600 jobs in U.S and Canada, 350 of the jobs are being cut from the company's headquarter in Pittsburgh. The company was bought by the two in June for $23.3 billion. "Its's necessary organizational changes" said spokesman Michael Mullen. "The company is offering severance packages to the people they cut, after the reduction the company will employ about 800 people in the Pittsburgh region and 6,000 across North America." So basically if they plan to hire more people they just cut the slackers that needed to be cut. I guess this is good news for the job market but bad news for people who aren't good at their jobs.
