Apple plans to kill two of its most popular applications; Aperture and iPhoto. They will both be replaced by the Photos app. Aperture was geared towards professional photographers and iPhoto was geared towards consumers. Apple's current operating system, Yosemite will be the last OS that allows iPhoto to work. "With the introduction of the new Photos app and iCloud Photo Library, enabling you to safely store all your photos in iCloud and access them from anywhere, there will be no new development of Aperture." a spokesperson for Apple said.
