Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index HSI, +1.36% was up 1.1% after registering its biggest one-week decline since December. Elsewhere, Australia’s S&P/ASX 200XJO, +0.66% added 0.5% and Singapore’s Straits Times Index STI, +0.88% rose 0.6%, with buying across sectors.
