GE Has a Better Idea: Decent Results

General Electric (GE - Get Report) said in its earning release this morning that the U.S. market is getting a little better every day, while Europe is appreciably better and China is still fairly good.

The company also says growth markets are differentiated, with headwinds on oil prices affecting those regions that produce or are dependent on the commodity.

On balance, order activity is relatively robust.

This is in contrast to W.W. Grainger (GWW - Get Report) and Emerson Electric (EMR - Get Report) , who are saying their activity has been both sloppy and disappointing.
