Yesterday, Dollar Tree (NASDAQ:DLTR) reported an increase in profits of about 4.6%. As the economy improves, however, people might return to shopping at premium stores instead of Dollar Tree. According to a report on CNN Money, the best days for the dollar store was the dark days of the recession. More competition from CVS (NYSE:CVS) has also affected profits at dollar stores. Stores like CVS sell national brand grocery products and store brand products and offer customers steep discounts. Do you agree with CNN?
