AT&T, Yelp shares decline after earnings

Citrix, Cheesecake Factory shares also decline

AT&T is seen posting Q3 EPS of 64 cents.

Shares of AT&T Inc. and Yelp Inc. fell in the extended session Wednesday following quarterly earnings reports from the companies.

AT&T T, -0.35% shares fell 1.3% to $34.06 on heavy volume after the telecom giant reported adjusted third-quarter earnings of 63 cents a share on revenue of $32.96 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet were looking for 64 cents a share on revenue of $33.22 billion.

Yelp YELP, -1.47% shares dropped 15% to $59.50 on heavy volume after the online review site topped Wall Street estimates for the third quarter but issued a weak outlook.

Citrix Systems Inc. CTXS, -1.85% shares fell 5.1% to $61.45 on moderate volume after the company reported adjusted third-quarter earnings of 70 cents a share on revenue of $759 million. Analysts had forecast 73 cents a share on revenue of $771.7 million.

Skechers USA Inc. SKX, +0.92% shares fell 2.1% to $53.80 on moderate volume after the footwear maker said profits were hurt by foreign-exchange losses and warehousing costs.

Tractor Supply Co. TSCO, -0.26% shares rallied 11% to $68 on moderate volume after the company reported third-quarter earnings of 55 cents a share on revenue of $1.36 billion. Analysts expected 50 cents a share on revenue of $1.32 billion.

Select Comfort Corp. SCSS, -1.01% shares surged 14% to $24.50 on moderate volume after the Sleep Number bed company reported third-quarter earnings of 44 cents a share on revenue of $323.4 million. Analysts expected 40 cents a share on revenue of $292.6 million. The company also raised its earnings outlook for the year to $1.12 a share, while analysts have forecast $1.10 a share.

Cheesecake Factory Inc. CAKE, -0.34% shares fell 3.7% to $42.85 on heavy volume after the restaurant chain reported third-quarter earnings of 48 cents a share on revenue of $499.1 million. Analysts expected 57 cents a share on revenue of $497.3 million.

Visa Inc. V, -1.12% shares rose 0.4% to $211.75 on moderate volume after the company hiked its dividend by 20%.
