Salesforce is not "just an SFA company anymore"

The salesforce automation giant wants to broaden its appeal with plans to launch several industry-specific vertical “clouds” to further entrench itself in customer accounts.

For a company that made its bones selling customer relationship management (or salesforce automation) software, Salesforce.com CRM -2.92% , which just claimed its “best quarter ever” with non-GAAP revenue of $1.63 billion for the period ending July 31, has done pretty well for itself.
