ABInBev Boss Brito Eyes Craft, Low-Alcohol Products

Even as it prepares to gulp down SABMiller (SBMRY) in the mother of all beer deals, Budweiser maker Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) is looking to expand in low-alcohol and craft categories.

That's the word from Carlos Brito, AB InBev's Brazilian-born CEO and the beer industry's deal-maker-in-chief, in a presentation to journalists in Brussels after a two-hour general assembly that approved the 2015 dividend and executive pay.

Brito said the company was on a "good path" towards completing its £71 billion ($103.5 billion) acquisition of SABMiller in the second half, which is currently its main focus along with readying an integration plan from day one.
