AT&T Inc on Wednesday reported a rise in quarterly revenue, but the increase was less than Wall Street expected as a wave of subscribers plugged into the network using pre-purchased devices. The company cut its outlook for consolidated revenue growth for 2014 to 3-4 percent from 5 percent. The No. 2 U.S. mobile provider earned $3 billion, or 58 cents per share, in the third quarter, compared with $3.8 billion, or 72 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter. Revenue rose 2.5 percent to $33 billion from $32.2 billion in the year-ago quarter. http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/10/22/att-results-idUSL2N0SH2QQ20141022 http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/10/22/us-at-t-results-idUSKCN0IB2GT20141022 I think that shares will fall today.
