Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella, has hired former political operative Mark Penn for the new role of Chief Strategy Officer. Tony Bates, who was a major candidate for the CEO position is leaving Microsoft while Eric Rudder, the former head of advanced strategy, replaces him. Executive vice president Tami Reller, is also leaving the company and will be replaced by Chieft Marketing Officer Chris Capossela. These changes in management have been the most far reaching since Nadella became CEO in February. Penn was the mind behind Microsoft's "Don't Get Scroogled" advertising campaign.
