China imported a record 28.16 million metric tons of crude oil in January--equivalent to 6.66 million barrels a day, preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs showed on Wednesday. Imports were 11.9% higher on year and up 5.2% from December, according to a calculation by The Wall Street Journal. Refined-oil product imports in January were 3.76 million tons. Source
