Priceline May Be Able to Name a Higher Stock Price on Wednesday


For Priceline Group (PCLN - Get Report) , there's more upside than downside, especially if constant currency bookings come in strong during its first quarter.

When the reservation services company reports earnings before the markets open on Wednesday, the key metrics will be constant currency bookings growth and revenue margin for its travel agency business, said Morningstar analyst Dan Wasiolek via phone.

Wall Street is expecting first-quarter revenue of $2.12 billion, earnings per share of $9.64 and Ebitda of $622 million for Priceline.

Shares of Priceline are down about 0.5% near the close of trading Tuesday to $1,350.39 apiece.
