With 2 more recalls yesterday, Ford Motors has recalled about 435,000 cars and SUVs to fix some it its fundamental issues such as rusty subframes and faulty seats. According to sources, their largest issue has to do with 386,000 Ford Escapes that were manufactured between the years of 2001-2004. The subframes of those models are more prone to rust which can result in the control arm breaking loose. Ford commented that they have seen 1 crash from this problem which did not result in injuries. The second recall is more simple, it involves 49,000 cars that is equipped with backseat frames that do not meet federal safety standards. The ones affected by this are Ford Escape, Fusion, Lincoln MKZ, and C-MAX models which were made within the past year or two. Their shares closed 1.2% lower yesterday, reaching $15.94.
