Blame The Bad Weather For the Shortage of Onions In India

Heavy monsoon rains have delayed harvests for Onions in India and this can lead to food inflation in the already weakened economy. Onions are a very important commodity in India, its used for cooking and it even an indigent in, yup you guessed it curry; the corner stone of Indian cuisine. The price for onions in the city of New Delhi have reach 70 rupees a kilogram from 20 rupees three months ago. Prices may continue to go up if farmers can't reach the onions because of the heavy rains.
