eBay Inc. EBAY and BigCommerce announced a strategic partnership on Thursday aimed at offering BigCommerce customers an inventory platform to list and monitor their products.Both platforms will connect and synchronize to allow BigCommerce merchants in Australia and New Zealand to list products and manage inventory using the eBayLINK app.This integration is expected to boost sales for BigCommerce merchants as they will now have access to 162 million global active eBay buyers. eBay buyers on the other hand will be benefitted from additional choices and selections.BigCommerce CEO Brent Bellm said, “It’s never been more important for business owners to manage and sell across multiple channels, and this partnership allows our customers to take advantage of a thriving marketplace that will bring them new customers and turn that discovery into revenue.”Unique benefits from eBay now available to BigCommerce merchants include centralized inventory management, rapid bulk listing and central management and synchronized price, quality and descriptions.According to eBay's Head of North America Hal Lawton, "eBay's strategy and our business model is firmly grounded in the foundation of making sure we have the best choice in selection for all our buyers across all markets." He further added, "To continue to deliver on that, it's very much grounded in continuing to acquire small-to-medium-sized businesses that bring that unique differentiated inventory at great bargains to our site."Bigcommerce Senior Vice President of Corporate Development Russell Klein stated, “eBay’s vibrant seller and buyer networks in Australia and New Zealand are unparalleled, and this partnership enables Bigcommerce merchants to directly access tens of millions of potential customers.” Our desire is to provide merchants the tools required to increase sales and reach new audiences without introducing technical complexity,” he added.BigCommerce already has big names such as Alibaba Group Holding Limited BABA, Square, Inc. SQ, PayPal Holdings, Inc.
