Wal-Mart Pay Hike Not Enough

Known as the largest private employer in the United States, with more than 500,000 employees, Wal-Mart is setting an example in the ongoing fight for higher wages. Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) stores are expected to raise their minimum wage to $10 per hour by 2016, according to CNN

Wal-Mart workers rallied and protested for the past few months, demanding $15 per hour, with the company ultimately settling for $10, CNN reported. In a January 2015 Hart Research poll, 53 percent of Republicans support the minimum wage to be increased to $15 by 2020.
