Netflix down on disappointing earnings results

There are only so many times you can flip a quarter and have it land on heads. When you place bets on a stock trading at a high P/E multiple, sooner or later you are going to hit a bad quarter. Netflix (NFLX) is down a little over 3% after hours after posting disappointing results. Before the 3rd quarter earnings results, the stock was trading at over 247 times trailing earnings.

Trees do not grow to the sky, regardless of how strong the brand is. Apple (AAPL) couldn't hold that kind of multiple, and neither could a streaming video service, even if "Orange Is The New Black" is great, which it is. Seriously, you should watch that. Netflix is at $106.89/share in the after hours market.
