John Stecher a 61 year old man has filed a lawsuit against his bank, Bank of America, for harassing him over a lost mortgage payment so much it lead to him having a heart attack. According the the complaint after his mortgage was lost, Stecher began receiving calls from Bank of America employees warning him that his "credit history would be negatively impacted." and that he was "in jeopardy or foreclosure." After Stecher finally went down to the bank and pleaded with a manger to find his payment, he started to become short of breath and had to be rushed to the hospital. His doctors blame the attack on the stress according to the lawsuit. I don't know if any of my readers have ever been harassed by debt collectors but it most certainly can raise your stress level. I want to know if they ever found the payment cause this could very well be a scam by Stecher to just get over on the bank. I think the moral of this story is to just make your payments online that way it can't be "lost".
