I’m sure he is as surprised as everyone else. Luxuriously surprised. According to the poll, 45% say they trust Trump more than any other Republican candidate on the economy He bankrupted a casino, more than once. Trump stands at 27% among Republican men and at 20% among Republican women, a gap just outside the margin of error for each group. Bush is second among both men and women, standing just a hair behind Trump at 17% among women but well behind among men (10% of GOP men back Bush, no other candidate reaches double digits). The man’s candidate and since it is the GOP can I just go ahead and call him the angry old white man’s candidate. I hope he wins the nomination. He obviously doesn’t want to actually be President and it will be interesting to see how he squirms out of it. I can see him having a quiet discussion with Reince Priebus: “This was all just to get a new TV show and sell some more shiat with “Trump” plastered on it. You’ve got to get me out of this thing. I promised to go to war with Mexico for christ sakes!!” I came to the realization last night that Trump is our Putin. -Brash -Rich -Loudmouth I’d like to think that the comparison would hurt him (Trump), but after Fox News viewers gushed over having a ‘strong man’ like Putin as President, I think they’d be even more happy with him as the frontrunner. It’s totally bizarre. So after years of the right hating Obama with claims of him being ignorant, egotistical, incapable of being a team player, arrogant, loudmouth, rude, a know nothing know it all, inexperienced and a jerk, the right then goes and supports Trump. This hypocrisy is so blatant it is insulting. Is there EVER a time that when the right isn’t verbally against something while they actually support it in the end? Trump is investing a lot of money in this presidential run. He is a businessman, and he will expect a return on his investment. In his mind, if he wins, Trump will own the United States of America. Stop and think what that means: Washington, DC renamed Trump, DC. The Grand Canyon renamed Trump Canyon. Did you know that during his first term, George Washington’s salary took up 2% of the Federal budget? Yeah, Donald’s gonna want something like that. He’ll skim his take off the top, directly from the IRS on April 16th. And the Trump Presidential Library and Casino will be made of solid gold… It’s easy to make fun of Trump and his supporters, but somewhat depressing too. However, this is not evidence of the decay of our political system. This is a case of one political party overplaying its hand for immediate political gain, then suffering the consequences when the implications of its appeal become apparent. It is largely the work of Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdock, and come the revolution I want to see their heads on spikes outside the NYSE along with Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O’Reilly.
