(Image source: crunchbase.com) Juniper Networks, Inc. (NYSE:JNPR) is slashing 6 percent of its global workforce, which amounts to about 570 workers. The layoffs announced today are part of Juniper’s “Integrated Operating Plan” that seeks to improve efficiencies and streamline the business. Most of the layoffs at the network equipment maker will mostly come from middle management positions. As a result of the layoffs, first-quarter earnings will take a hit of $35 million for termination and severance expenses. In addition, Juniper will also reduce its leased facilities.
