The Nasdaq Stock Market (NDAQ) was halted for more than 3 hours since 12.14 PM ET to 3.25 PM ET. It's another embarrassing moment for Nasdaq since last year Nasdaq halted on Facebook IPO. We don't know exactly the real cause of this halt. We know only it's a technical issue. There are thousands of securities listed on the Nasdaq such as Apple (AAPL), Google (GOOG), Intel (INTC), Facebook(FB) and Netflix (NFLX) etc. Of course this incident hurts investors confidence. A lot of people have question that can they really rely on this technology? I'm surprise that Nasdaq let this happen for over 3 hours. Why don't they have the back up plan when things like this happen? Even tho the trading halted but all the traders still can cancel their order if they wanted to. Do you think that we could rely on human more than reliant on computers? Share in Nasdaq was closed down by 3.4% to $30.46.
