Apple (NYSE: APPL) has hired Burberry's CEO, Angela Ahrendts, to oversee their retail stores and online site. This is a major hire for Apple's executive team. Apple's retail stores are at a competitive advantage, because no other computer maker have retail stores at the same scale as Apple does. Ahrendts, is from a small mid-west town in Indiana, and has worked at big name fashion companies such as Liz Claiborne, Donna Karen, and came to Burberry in 2007. In her seven year tenure, she jet streamed the company's products and business and brought back great returns for shareholders.
