Boeing is beating Airbus in the wide body jetliner market for the year. Boeing has 273 orders through July while Airbus has negative 27 due to cancellations. Boeing values the wide body plane market at $2.5 trillion over the next 20 years. Airbus announced that it passed Boeing in unadjusted orders for all kinds of planes in 2014, with 980 new orders through July. Boeing has sold 837 planes this year. Boeing then made it clear that it was still in the lead after adjusted orders it had 823 orders compared to 705 orders for Airbus.
