Facebook, Inc. FB just released its first quarter fiscal 2016 earnings results, and as always, the business world is buzzing. One of the most highly-anticipated segments of the social networking site’s report is its user data, in particular its monthly active users (MAUs). MAUs were 1.65 billion as of March 31, 2015, increasing 15% year-over-year, while daily active users (DAUs) were 1.09 billion on average for March 2016, increasing 16% year-over-year. Mobile MAUs were 1.51 billion as of March 31, 2016 and mobile DAUs were 989 million for March 2016, each increasing 21% and 24% year-over-year, respectively. In addition to these stats, Facebook has 1 billion users on WhatsApp, 900 million on Messenger, and 400 million on Instagram. Deutsche Bank has previously forecasted that Messenger and WhatsApp will bring in a total of $10 billion in revenue by 2020.
