This Is Britain's Answer to the OnePlus Smartphone

The WileyFox phone is trying to muscle its way into the Android market.

WileyFox is not a smartphone you’ve heard of before, because it’s a new company trying to wrestle its way into the already saturated Android market. Much like the OnePlus, which was a huge hit, the WileyFox is another mobile smartphone company looking to combine amazing specs with competitive pricing. Announced earlier, WileyFox will debut two new smartphones named the Storm and the Swift. Both run Android’s Cyanogen, and pricing goes up to £199 (about $315) for the Storm, which is the higher end of the two. It boasts a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, completed with a 20-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel camera up front.

The Swift retails for £129 ($204) and boasts a slightly lower resolution, running on a less powerful Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of storage internally but with a microSD slot that can take up to 32GB cards. Its rear camera is 13 megapixels while the front facing one boasts 5. The selling point here is upgraded privacy settings, ability to lock one app at a time, enhanced encryption and easy to use personal features.

Pre-orders start this week, but will be exclusive to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. For more information head over to WileyFox’s website.
