Good news for frequent cruise-goers: Carnival (NYSE: CCL) announced it will be adding nine brand new ships to its already booming repertoire of 101 cruise liners, according to USA Today. The cruise line will release the new ships in intervals between 2019 and 2022, USA Today reported, boasting some of the most efficient cruise ships to date. Holland America, the company that owns Carnival, Princess and many other cruise lines, has not yet announced which lines will receive any number of the new vessels, USA Today reported. However, they did announce the ship makers include Germany’s Meyer Werft and Italy’s Fincantieri. "We're excited to take this next step in our fleet enhancement plan with these two new agreements that are consistent with our long-term strategy of measured capacity growth over time," Carnival Corp. President and CEO Arnold Donald says in a statement, according to USA Today.
