Abercrombie Loses Despite Growth Efforts

Retailer Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) reported losses in Q4, according to Forbes, worrying investors about whether the stock could sink or swim. The company’s revenue fell 14 percent with decreased transactions in-store and online. For the entire 2014 fiscal year, Forbes reported, Abercrombie & Fitch managed a 9 percent revenue decrease, with stocks falling more than 20 percent to $1.54.

According to Forbes, Abercrombie has had a difficult time over the past few years in regarding to marketing their product, of which most failed. Currently, Abercrombie is changing the appearance of it’s Hollister stores, with 50 U.S. locations already on board and an incentive program for district managers. However, these changes will not bring much of an impact unless the retailer is able to improve its online sales.
