NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Kinder Morgan (KMI - Get Report) shares are falling 0.67% to $32.08 on Tuesday, ahead of the company's third quarter fiscal 2015 earnings results due out after the closing bell on October 21.

Year-over-year, the company's earnings is forecast to decline, according to analysts' estimates.

For the latest quarter, analysts are expecting the energy company to report earnings of 19 cents a share on revenue of $3.83 billion.

Overall, oil companies have been negatively impacted by slumping oil prices, and Citi Research states that "Near-term, we believe risks around large projects, project returns, and leverage will continue to weigh on shares," Barron' reports.
