Carnival (CCL) Stock Price Target Raised at Barclays

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Barclays raised its price target on Carnival Corp. (CCL - Get Report) to $57 from $54 on Monday morning, while maintaining its "equal weight" rating on the stock.

The price target increase comes after the company provided positive guidance for 2016 on Friday.

"Given an expanding booking curve and increasing visibility, we expect Carnival to continue its 'beat and raise' pattern throughout fiscal year 2016," the firm said in an analyst note.

After improvement from the previous quarter, Carnival now expects to see yield improvements in almost all itineraries, but was cautious about Asia and Australia given capacity increases, the firm noted. The company's management was also cautious about Europe due to geopolitical challenges.

The cruise vacation company is based in Miami.

Shares of Carnival are gaining by 2.61% to $53.59 on Monday morning.
