IndiGo, an Indian airline, has agreed to purchase 250 A320 planes from Airbus. The order is valued at $26 billion and ranks as the largest single order of jets from Airbus. IndiGo is aggressively expanding its fleet and it seek to gain more market share in India and solidify its position as the market leader in the country. IndiGo will start receiving delivery on the planes from 2018 and has also secured the rights to purchase another 100 A320 aircrafts. IndiGo's President, Aditya Ghosh, said "We believe India is a highly under penetrated market."
