Cost of liver disease medication jumps from $400 a month to $40,000 a month. Martin Shkreli unavailable for comment

Unfortunately, the price of Cuprimine has gone from $400-$1,700/month to $44,000/month. Curprimine is made by Valeant Pharmaceuticals, run by billionaire J. Michael Pearson. He’s stepping down, not because he jacked up the price of Cuprimine and other medications, but because the company’s misstated earnings hurt its stock value.

Canadian company eh? Time to dust off the old windfall profits tax. You selling it for $1000 at home, and $40,000 here? Enjoy your 97% tax rate on US sales.

“The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, … To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states,…”

Don’t worry, Congress will regulate life saving medication right after another Benghazi hearing, repeal of the ACA, vote to defund Planned Parenthood, repeal the ACA, calling Hillary to testify about her emails, BENGHAZI!, stonewall hearings for court appointees, take a recess, make millions off their Big Pharma stock. Even politicians know you don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

This has nothing to do with our government forcing everyone to buy some sort of health insurance and thus making sure all of these high prices are paid by a multi billion dollar company (Who could be researching other things) Notice how once this horrible bill of aca was passed these things started happening. Health car was a scam before, now it’s just dry anal rape.

There are curbs on how much landlords can increase rent each year, why not on how much drug companies can increase prices?

As one commenter suggested,  only bought-off politicians would oppose something so sane and reasonable.
