NEW YORK () -- Elaine Wynn, co-founder of Wynn Resorts ( - ) , sees both challenges and potential ahead for the gaming industry in the U.S. and abroad.
Wynn, who also co-founded and led Mirage Resorts ( - ) , spoke on the subject of resiliency at Fortune's The Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington D.C. this week. Her own career has had its share of ups and downs, including her from Wynn Resorts' board of directors last spring. Wynn said she's learned from those career highs and lows.
"Nothing is forever. And I think professional experiences mirror personal experiences as well. So as you live your life and you have crises, whether they are mini or major, you develop coping skills," said Wynn. "Hopefully you are able to weather them and kind of batten down the hatches, be informed by them, but not be defeated by them."
