After meeting for an hour today President Barack Obama and Republicans in the House of Representatives failed to come to terms on a plan that would extend the nation's debt limit for six weeks. Obama rejected a plan proposed by Republicans because it didn't address the government shut down. But on the bright side both sides said they would work through the night to come to a deal. This is good news and yet none of us are impressed or pleased. Yes this is mostly republicans fault but at this point I think I speak for most of us when I say get your act together and get this deal done already. I don't understand how the Republicans can offer a deal that allows the government to continue to borrow money but doesn't have any thing to do with the government shut down. These guys should just let the interns do the work if this is what they are coming up with.
