The huge jump in auto sales report last month by the big three Detroit automakers rubbed off on AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE:AN), the largest operator of auto dealership chains in the U.S. Sales rose 13 percent last month, which amounted to 25,454 cars sold. Sale of both domestic and imported cars was up. From January through November, AutoNation has sold 266,823 new vehicles, an increase of 11 percent compared to the same period a year ago. AutoNation sees strong demand for both used and new cars. Shares in AutoNation are climbing higher on the strong November sales.
