Housing starts in Canada in February came in at about 192K, up from the 180K in January. Housing starts dipped in the latter part of last year but has rebounded. The trend therefore remains steady since 2013. USD/CAD rallied sharply to end last week after divergent jobs reports. While the Canadian job data stunk, US NFP beat expectations. There's not many scheduled releases for US and Canada this week, and the USD/CAD has a bullish bias in the short-term to end last week and to start this one.
