What to Expect When Hasbro (HAS) Reports Earnings Monday

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Toys and games maker Hasbro (HAS - Get Report) will release its 2015 third quarter earnings results before the market open on Monday morning.

Analysts are expecting the producer of the "My Little Pony" and "Transformers" toys to post a year over year rise in both earnings per share and revenue for the most recent quarter.

Hasbro has been forecast by analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters to report earnings of $1.53 per share on revenue of $1.48 billion for the September ended period.

Last year, the distributor of Nerf and Play-Doh reported earnings of $1.46 per share on revenue of $1.47 billion for the 2014 third quarter.

Shares of Hasbro are up by 0.62% to $74.59 at the start of trading on Wednesday morning.

Additionally, it was announced last September that beginning in 2016 Hasbro will receive the rights to distribute Disney's(DIS) collection of princess dolls, which include the popular characters from the blockbuster 2013 animated film "Frozen." Mattel (MAT) previously held those rights.
