Modern Mercenaries

Every time there is a disaster, we will always be able to find that few individuals who will try to make profits from unfortunate victims.

Just check out current problems in Eastern Europe with Syrian immigrants trying to reach western countries, merchants sell bottled water to desperate immigrants for up to 10 euro. So where is the spirit of civilized society in this situation? Almost nowhere.

But what is a disaster in which opportunists can make the highest amount of money? War, because war is always good for business!

Are you an adrenaline junkie? Have you always dreamed about travelling around the world while doing some action? Do you like guns and are willing to risk your life for profit? If so , then you will definitely want to become this type of opportunist.

More accurately these opportunists are called mercenaries.

1.What is a mercenary?

2.How to become one?

3.How much money do mercenaries make?

First of all mercenary is a person who fights in conflicts for personal gain instead of fighting for ideological interests of the country, it doesn't matter if it is against the current government or for it.

Geneva convention declaration upon mercenaries says:

Art 47. Mercenaries:

1. A mercenary shall not have the right to be a combatant or a prisoner of war.

2. A mercenary is any person who:

(a) is especially recruited locally or abroad in order to fight in an armed conflict;

(b) does, in fact, take a direct part in the hostilities;

(c) is motivated to take part in the hostilities essentially by the desire for private gain and, in fact, is promised, by or on behalf of a Party to the conflict, material compensation substantially in excess of that promised or paid to combatants of similar ranks and functions in the armed forces of that Party;

(d) is neither a national of a Party to the conflict nor a resident of territory controlled by a Party to the conflict;

(e) is not a member of the armed forces of a Party to the conflict; and

(f) has not been sent by a State which is not a Party to the conflict on official duty as a member of its armed forces.

So before becoming one, it is a good thing to think twice if it is worth a risk.

Here we come to the info you all wanted to read about. How to become a mercenary?

There are many mercenary companies out there: Blackwater security, Sandline, Triple Canopy and French Foreign Legion

Well before you join you definitely must fulfill 3 basic criteria:

1.Your physical condition:

This is obvious one, in order to even get accepted in mercenary agencies or any other security/military institutions you Must be in good physical condition. If you are overweight or your condition is just in a bad shape, try going to the gym or workout at home.

2.Foreign Languages:

It is never a bad thing to learn other foreign languages. As a mercenary you will be sent to many different parts of the world. What means that learning large languages like Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, German and French will always prove like a good idea.

3.Military/Security experience

Most of the mercenary companies will require you to have at least 3 years of military/security training experience. Even 3 years of police training will work.

Also try to not get anything bad on your service record.

So how much money do mercenaries make?

Is it worth the risk?

Well in general mercenaries gain up to 500-1000 dollars per day. So the salary in general is 89,000 - 250,000 dollars per year. There are many different factors which will determine your paycheck: Company which employed you, danger, your expiriance and location.

If you are an adrenaline junkie or you already had some acting military experience before. Consider joining in because after all, your paycheck will be huge.
