Home prices in 20 U.S. cities have risen by the most since February 2006 in the 12 month through September. This shows the housing market has progressed even though borrowing costs have climbed. The Case Shiller index of property values advanced 13.3% after increasing 12.8% the month before. Analysts were expecting a 13% increase.
