China is expected to pass the United States in e-commerce in terms of total customer spending, according to Bain & Company a management consultancy firm. They believe online sales could account for half of all Chinese retail spending in the next ten years. The claim is backed by the fact that half of China's massive 1.8 billion population now has access to the internet. The country e commerce sector has grown at an average rate of 71% between 2009 and 2012 while America's has grown a measly 13%.
