  • Shoe Carnival Inc. SCVL reported weak earnings for its third quarter and lowered its annual outlook. Shoe Carnival shares tumbled 13.45 percent to $26.20 in the after-hours trading session.

  • UnitedHealth Group Inc UNH reiterated its earnings outlook for 2016 and issued a strong forecast for 2017. For next year, the company expects adjusted earnings of $9.30 to $9.60 per share and revenue of $197 billion to $199 billion. UnitedHealth shares gained 2.23 percent to $155.50 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts are expecting Splunk Inc SPLK to have earned $0.08 per share on revenue of $230.33 million in the latest quarter. Splunk will release earnings after the closing bell. Splunk shares slipped 1.56 percent to close at $57.42 on Monday.
