BlackBerry Earnings

BlackBerry earning for the last quarter beat Wall Street expectations. The smartphone maker, had $3.1 billion in cash and other assets. Revenue for the quarter was $966 million, which was significantly down from $3.07 billion at the same time last year. The company had an earning per share of $0.04. In the same quarter 2.6 million BlackBerry phones were sold. After the debacle that was the BlackBerry 10 operating system that launched in 2013, BlackBerry went back to focusing on its core enterprise users. The brand is still popular in emerging markets such as Indonesia, so it is leveraging that demand by releasing new devices in those markets.
