I've already told you how I think that Mattel is preparing for an epic Christmas, but after visiting the grand opening of the American Girl store in Scottsdale, AZ, I've had to increase my opinion of the company (Which was already good). We waited in line for over two hours just to get tickets to enter the store nearly 8 hours later. And it was crowded to the hilt. Mind you, these are dolls that sell for no less than $120 each, and a full visit can easily run $600. Add this to the launch of the $80 Tokidoki Barbie (Which sold out in 1 day), and you have the recipe for a whiz bang return. Analysts are lowballing the company big time, and I think we're going to see both an earnings beat as well as a massive short squeeze from the results. Earnings are due after market on 10/15/15.
