When are European stock markets closed for Easter?

(MarketWatch) — Investors in Europe can kick back and relax — they have a four-day Easter weekend ahead of them.

Some Scandinavian markets were already sent off for Easter-egg hunting on Thursday but for the most part, the holiday starts on Good Friday.

U.S. stock markets will also be closed on Friday, although futures will be active, which will give an indication of the initial reaction to the closely watched nonfarm-payrolls numbers due at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

While the U.S. market will be open as usual, investors in European markets won’t have a chance to react to the report until Tuesday.
