In the last trading session, U.S. stocks gave a mixed performance with fresh declines in oil prices weighing on stocks, while health care stocks rallied. Among the top ETFs, investors saw SPY gain 0.08%, DIA go down 0.2% and QQQ move up 0.28% on the day. Two more specialized ETFs are worth noting as both saw trading volume that was far outside of normal. In fact, both these funds experienced volume levels that were more than double their average for the most recent trading session. This could make these ETFs the ones to watch out for in the days ahead to see if this trend of extra-interest continues: IMLP: Volume 4.12 times average This MLP ETF was under the microscope in the last trading session as around 150,000 shares moved hands. This compares with an average trading day of around 36,000 shares and came as IMLP lost almost 2% in the session. The movement can largely be blamed on the fall in oil prices after reports of slowdown in wildfires in Canada and it moving away from key oil-production facilities surfaced that can have a big impact on MLP stocks like what we find in this ETF portfolio. Meanwhile, inventory build in the U.S. also contributed to the decline. IMLP was up 11.3% in the past one month. BZQ: Volume 2.83 times average This inverse leveraged Brazil ETF was in focus yesterday as nearly 429,000 shares moved hands. This compares to an average trading volume of 152,000 shares and came as BZQ gained 3.2% in the session. The big move can largely be blamed on fresh rounds of political turmoil. With leveraged factor tacked on BZQ, investors can see huge gains/losses in a short period of time. In the last one-month period, BZQ was down about 9.7%.
