DirecTV is coming close to an agreement to renew its exclusive deal with the NFL for "NFL Sunday Ticket". The multi-year deal would let DirecTV, carry the out of market Sunday afternoon games its had for two decades. An announcement is expected to be released starting the final outlines of the contract. With the "Sunday Ticket" DirecTV would continue to have ownership over one of televisions most power assets, that would also help the company compete with other pay-TV operators and new internet entrants who are all looking for exclusive content.
