North American equity markets currently are in the weakest three week period in the year. Weakness during this period is setting up for equity market’s period annual period of seasonal strength from late October to early May. The current three week period provides an opportunity to buy equities on weakness.

Canadian bank stocks led the advance in the TSX Composite yesterday. ‘Tis the season for strength in the sector until the end of November!

Interesting short term head and shoulders pattern by the Grain ETN!

More technical evidence that the S&P 500 Index reached an intermediate low on August 25th! Percent of S&P 500 stocks trading above their 50 day moving average continues to recover despite significant volatility by the Index. The Index appears to be forming a double bottom pattern.

Ditto for the TSX Composite Index!
